At least twice a week St. Thomas calls me because I'm on the alumni list, begging for a donation. It usually goes like this:
Them: "Could you donate a small amount such as $300 at this time?"
Me: "A small amount? Are you kidding? That's hardly small to me, and no I cannot donate that to St. Thomas."
Them: "How about an even smaller amount of $100 just to show your support for your alma mater?"
Me: "To be honest, you guys keep calling me and as much as I liked going to St. Thomas for two years, I don't feel like it makes sense to throw even more money towards you after all I spent on my education. What did you do with that $68G?" *hang up*
Lo and behold on my doorstep this morning is a nice article on the front page about how great the $118M expansion is coming along... touche.
