ryan and the english bulldogs

I don't know where I heard about this book, Chocolate at the Four Seasons But it sounds cute.  Chocolate is a tiny chihuahua that's thrust into the glamorous world of the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles and becomes an entertainer for guests.  (again... I have no idea where I heard of this...) nevertheless... I just met a guy in my ENTR490 course named Ryan who breeds English Bulldogs.  I put them together and thought of a children's book named Ryan and the English Bulldogs.  ??!!?

I think I've had too much coffee too late in the evening.

Anyway, today I launched our Street Team Search for representatives in the class of 2009... we'll see how that goes.

I need to finish an assignment on Ethical Layoffs... and study for a terms quiz for Business Law.

all in the day in the life of,

collaboration on a chilly monday

im not interested in the jewelry from Tiffany & Co whatsoever, but every day i open up the Wall Street Journal
on the right hand side, halfway up the page, there is a Tiffany advertisement.  Each day it's different and each morning I wake up, excited to see the ad.  The reason is.... i love how it's laid out... it's so simplistic but at the same time... classy and elegant.  So, I decided to fashion a few scrapbook page layouts directly from the Tiffany advertisements.  I haven't put them together yet, but when I do, I will post them on here to show you my muse and my creation side by side... maybe there will be some resemblance, maybe not.  I just find it funny that I'm interested in a designer jewelry advertisement more than the news of our worlds reality.  also, it makes me think of M each time I see it, and how fashion-lacking i must be ;)

we drove out to buffalo today for a sales meeting with a few other photography studios.  it's interesting to see the different sales strategies and marketing ideas that they bring to the table.  as a younger generation 'studio owner', i feel that there is a lot they need to catch up on with the new society coming around.  facebook, myspace, updating websites, blogging, creating an experience.  its exciting to be on the forefront of such a drastically changing industry.  photography has been and always will be a creative and innovative challenge... one that i cannot wait to further explore upon graduation!

the weather is still cold... so much that im tempted to stay at home and watch the new gossip girls show instead of walking across 96 to the gym.  but, i do believe im due for an overflow of endorphins after a long, draining day.

the Solara is out and ready to go... but its too chilly for top down, so im holding out for a sunny day... blast a little sexy lady

thanks to C, im seriously anticipating the release of the new stephanie meyer's book "breaking dawn" . i mean it when i say she is the next J.K. Rowling.  according to the book release countdown i have 95 days, 4 hours, 22 minutes, and 56 seconds until it's available.

that seems like such a long time.  although, i do recall playing apples to apples at K's house on new year's eve... we were talking about how there are still many months until schools out for the summer.  im on the eve of graduation with 19 days to go and i cannot find time to take a nap, much less take a second to breathe.  i suppose its added pressure and stress that we need to get our senior mailing out and on track for the upcoming month.  so far so good.  i just need to design a few more pieces!!

patiently waiting for the time to come when ill be shining like the sun,

construction & a movie

today was fulfilling.

we are in the midst of remodeling the studio... finally they listen to me!  ill have to post pictures of the new wood floor... vaulted ceiling... new dressing rooms... all that good stuff.  its going to make such a difference.

i designed a new logo for the studio and ordered new business cards and stickers from moo
i love this site and the multiple ways to be creative with their products!  after ryan, sarah, dad and i cleaned out the studio... it was a lazy saturday afternoon filled with watching survivor reruns... (and gossip girl too, of course!).  then troy, ryans cousin, came over and we ventured to one of my favorite places.... the movie theater .  i only like the amc 14 one because its connected to rosedale mall... which has a chipotle (which can be snuck in the theatre)... and tickets m-thurs are only $6.  thats cheap... and im a stingy girl so this works great.

we ended up seeing forgetting sarah marshall and the theatre was primarily filled with adults... which was great because everytime the male genitalia flashed on screen... i didnt feel as awkward as i would if i were sitting amongst younger teenagers...

it was hilarous.
and i love that jonah hill was in it because lets be honest... how many successful movies has he been in?  superbad, evan almighty, knocked up, click, accepted...

today i have to succumb to the graduation pressure of completing many assignments (as mentioned in previous post)... starting with a meeting down at St. Thomas around 3ish.
we are continuing to build the best business plan known to mankind... our business is a luxury pet art photography studio called Four Paws Gallery.

kudos to the sun for making it warmer today.

swarm of crease violations

ryan, the current flame, and i went to a minnesota lacrosse swarm game.  we were in the burrito lotto winning section... so of course a trip to chipotle was much anticipated.

the rain blanketing our state for the last 48 hours is not only gloomy, but very dirty-making.  every step splashes rain from puddles onto my pants... nonetheless, this h20 is much needed for the lake.  it is so shallow that neighbors (myself included) are postponing putting the boats in the water!  what good is living on a lake if you cant be on it for a sunset cruise?

this morning i ran at the gym and listened to my favorite song of today... "Love in This Club" by Usher...  he never ceases to impress me with his sexy lyrics

check out the video

with 21 days until college graduation, i feel stressed for time and constant energy to complete all the requirements.  1 entrepreneurship project, 1 business law project, 1 marketing paper, 2 entrepreneurial theology papers, and a business plan competition.  it is unreal to think i wont ever have to turn in a paper on Acadia and the art of leisure again.  ever.  no more quizzes.  no tests.  nothing that challenges me to memorize useless facts (the definition of a 'promissory estoppel' anyone??).

its been fun while its lasted... but i dont think i could see myself spending 2 more years there... thank my lucky stars i took advantage of PSEO and the ultimate freedom that comes with independence...

wishing that my hair smelled like the promises in magazines,

oh and if you're curious, a crease violation is a penalty in lax
